CONEJO OAKS COLLEGIATE TEAM
The team will be hosting the first annual Conejo Oaks Baseball Camp this summer. The four day camp will run from Monday, July 20th to Thursday, July 23rd. Camp will be held from 9:00am - 1:00pm at the ballpark of Thousand Oaks High School. Kids of all skill level, ages 8-13 are invited to attend. The camp will be instructed by Conejo Oaks coaching staff as well as current players.

Oaks Pitch Combined No-Hitter for Victory

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks (8-8, 6-6) shut out non-league rival, the Santa Maria Pilots (5-13), winning 2-0. The game was a combined no hitter for Oaks pitching staff in a quick game, lasting just under two hours. Starting LHP Scott Bachman had four strikeouts and no walks against the Pilots in his six innings of work. Three consecutive strikeouts earned closer, Kevin Gelinas the save.

The Oaks scored their only two runs in the first two innings of the games. An RBI double from second baseman, Brad Greve scored Paul Hartmann on the run that would be the game winner.

The Oaks continue non-league play and take on the East LA Dodgers Thursday, June 25th at Sparky Anderson Field. First pitch is 5:00pm.

Big Hits Earn Big Win for Oaks
(Thursday, June 25th, 2009)

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks (9-8, 6-6) continue to improve their season this week with a 12-4 victory over non-league opponent, the East LA Dodgers.

The Oaks had a big fifth inning with five hits, three of which were for extra bases, giving the Oaks a six run lead. The next inning was just as productive for the Oaks. A lead off, solo home run by first baseman, Sean McIntyre was a great start to the frame. Later, a two RBI triple by left fielder Kyle Jones who later scored a run himself, was the final run of the game for the Oaks. That was all the team needed to seal the win over the East LA Dodgers.

The Oaks will continue non-league play against the same team, Friday, June 26th. First pitch is 5:00pm at Sparky Anderson Field.

Oaks JACOB FISS Ranked Nationally

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Conejo Oaks outfielder/pitcher, Jacob Fiss has been ranked among the nations top summer baseball hitters for the second week in a row. Fiss' current batting average, .372 is the second highest on the Oaks roster. Fiss also has the second highest count for RBI's at 14.

Win Streak Continues for Oaks

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks are back on the winning side of things with their third consecutive win in a 10-5 victory over the visiting East LA Dodgers which improves the team to 10-8 on the season, the Oaks are still 6-6 in California Collegiate League play.

It was another night of many hits as the Oaks scored their ten runs on 13 hits. Starting catcher Matt Scioscia went 3-4 with two singles and a double. Scioscia earned two RBI's in the evening, bringing his total to twenty on the season, remaining the team leader for RBI's.

Oaks pitching staff only gave three earned runs, struck out five, and walked six. Winning pitcher Ian Durham improved to 2-3 on the season with his 2.1 innings of middle relief work.

The Oaks look to continue their winning streak as they travel to USC to take on the Southern California Black Sox in non-league play. The next home game is Wednesday, July 1st at Sparky Anderson Field. First pitch is at 5:00pm. All fans will get to play Baseball Bingo in the stands throughout the game as the Oaks take on CCL rival the Santa Barbara Foresters.

Oaks Take Two in Double Header
(Sunday, June 28th, 2009)

CARSON, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks (13-8, 6-6) defeated the South Bay Saints in both games of the double header on Sunday.

Game one was off to a good start with a two RBI double from Bryan Willson in the first inning. Second baseman, Brad Greve went 3-3 with two singles and a double and scored two runs for the Oaks in the seven inning game. Starting pitcher Matt Dunbar gave up only one run on one hit, striking out seven in his five innings of work.

In game two the Oaks managed to score five runs on 12 hits, despite being struck out 13 times by the Saints pitching staff. Oaks starting pitcher Matt Montgomery worked for six scoreless innings, he gave up only three runs, walked two, and struck out two.

The Oaks hope to carry their winning momentum into league play this week as they take on CCL rivals the Santa Barbara Foresters after a day off. Game one of the three game series will be Tuesday the 1st of July. First pitch is 5:00pm at USCB.

Streak Snapped by Foresters

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks (13-9, 6-7) were shut out on Tuesday night as they played game one of the three game series against California Collegiate League rivals, the Santa Barbara Foresters.

The Foresters played an aggressive game with five stolen bases, DH McMurray stole home during the second inning to put up the third run for the home team. Coming off his start in the no hitter against the Santa Maria Pilots, work for starting pitcher Scott Bachman wasn't as easy. Bachman gave up seven earned runs on seven hits in his four innings of work. The Oaks defense committed two errors, giving the Foresters an additional run in the fourth inning.

The Oaks managed to get four hits off the Foresters pitching staff, three of which were on starting pitcher Tim Kelley, but were unable to produce runs.

The Oaks continue their CCL series as they take on the Foresters at home on Wednesday, July 1st at Sparky Anderson Field, first pitch is 5pm. Join us for this great rivalry matchup as we play Baseball Bingo in the stands throughout the game.

OAKS Ranked 40th in the Nation

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks are ranked 40th in the nation among summer collegiate baseball teams. California Collegiate League opponents, the San Luis Obispo Rattlers and the Santa Barbara Foresters are also ranked on the list, proving the great competitive talent across the league. Oaks Steal Foresters Streak
(Wednesday, July 1st, 2009)

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks (14-9, 7-7) defeated their California Collegiate League rivals, the Santa Barbara Foresters 2-1 on Wednesday at Sparky Anderson Field. The loss ends a five game winning streak for the Foresters (16-6, 8-3).

The Oaks defense was on point throughout the game. Only one run scored on the four hits during the 5.1 innings of work by starting pitcher Kevin Gelinas. The Oaks battled through the pitchers duel and were able to produce in the eighth inning. With runners at first and third, center fielder Kyle Jones hit a two RBI triple to left center to score the only two runs it would take for the Oaks to top the Foresters.

The Oaks take on the Foresters in the rubber game of the series on Thursday on the campus of UCSB, first pitch is 5:00pm. The Oaks will stay on the road for through the weekend to play in the Santa Maria Packers Invitational Tournament. The next home game is Tuesday, July 7th as the Oaks take on the Cal Lutheran Hogs at 5:00pm.
