OAKS TAKE SUMMER SERIES FROM
FORESTERS
THOUSAND
OAKS,
The game
was off to an aggressive start as the Oaks posted five runs in the bottom of
the first inning. With the bases loaded, left fielder Kyle Jones hit a single
to deep center field to score the first run of the game. Later, catcher Chris
Talley would single up the middle to score another two runs for the Oaks.
The third
frame was also productive when short stop Tyler Smith hit a two run triple to
increase the lead to seven runs over the Foresters. Talley posted another RBI
in the seventh inning with his double down the right field line. Talley
finished the night 2-4 with three RBI. Starting and winning pitcher, Kevin Gelinas saw only one run on three hits, walked three, and
struck out seven in his seven complete innings of work. The final win for the
Oaks puts the team 4-3 against the Foresters for the 2009 season.
