OAKS WIN STREAK SNAPPED BY BLUES

 

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Conejo Oaks (28-21, 11-10) were unable to continue their four game winning streak as they were defeated by the San Luis Obispo Blues 3-8 on Monday evening.

 

The Oaks were up early, scoring two runs in the first inning. Second baseman Jack Marder singled up the middle for an RBI. Another single by designated hitter Kenny Hatcher scored the second run of the inning.

 

By the top of the fourth the Oaks were down by six runs. A sacrifice fly from catcher Chris Talley would produce only one run. That single RBI would be the last the game would hear from the Oaks.

 

The Oaks next tournament opponent will be the... The Oaks return to Sparky Anderson field on Friday, July 17th to take on the East LA Dodgers at 5:00pm.
