OAKS KNOCK OFF FORESTERS

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Conejo Oaks advance to the championship game in the California Cup Tournament after their defeat of the Santa Barbara Foresters 4-2 on Sunday afternoon. The tournament is a qualifier for the National Baseball Congress World Series Tournament that will be in Wichita, Kansas starting on August 1^st.

The Oaks started the game with extra innings from a triple to right center by right fielder Kyle Jones. A sacrifice fly from second baseman Jack Marder would later score Jones. The win was official in the ninth inning when the Oaks posted two unearned runs from an error by the Foresters left fielder.

The Oaks will play the California Cup championship game against the Santa Maria Packers on Sunday, July 12^th at 2:00pm. The next home game for the Oaks will be Friday, July 17^th at 5:00pm.
