OAKS DROP GAME TWO IN LEAGUE RIVALRY

 

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Conejo Oaks were unable to produce in game two of the three game series against league rivals, the Santa Barbara Foresters falling 5-0 on Thursday evening.

 

Center fielder Kyle Jones went 1-3 with a double down the right field line in the first inning. Starting pitcher Justin Shutt faced 29 batters in his seven complete innings of work. Shutt gave up four runs, three of which were earned, on eight hits, walked none, and struck out four.

 

The Oaks begin a nearly two week road stretch beginning with a tournament in Santa Maria where their first opponent will be the LA Expos on Friday, July 3rd at 4:00pm. The Oaks return to Sparky Anderson field on Friday, July 17th to take on the East LA Dodgers at 5:00pm.
