OAKS PITCH COMBINED NO HITTER FOR VICTORY

 

 

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks (8-8, 6-6) shut out non-league rival, the Santa Maria Pilots (5-13), winning 2-0. The game was a combined no hitter for Oaks pitching staff in a quick game, lasting just under two hours. Starting LHP Scott Bachman had four strikeouts and no walks against the Pilots in his six innings of work. Three consecutive strikeouts earned closer, Kevin Gelinas his second save of the season.

 

The Oaks scored their only two runs in the first two innings of the games. An RBI double from second baseman, Brad Greve scored Paul Hartmann on the run that would be the game winner.

 

The Oaks continue non-league play and take on the East LA Dodgers Thursday, June 25th at Sparky Anderson Field. First pitch is 5:00pm.
