EXTRA INNINGS SINGLE RUN WIN FOR OAKS

 

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Conejo Oaks overcame a pitchers dual to defeat their California Collegiate League opponent, the San Luis Obispo Rattlers 1-0 late Saturday night.

 

Starting left handed pitcher Scott Bachman threw for eight complete innings giving up no runs on only three hits. Bachman walked two and struck out nine.

 

It wasn’t until late in the eleventh inning of the ballgame that the Oaks were finally able to put a run across the plate. Right fielder Kyle Jones hit a triple to deep center field and later scored on a wild pitch. Jones went 3-5 on the night with one run scored.

 

The Oaks will wrap up the league series against the Rattlers on Sunday at 1:05pm. The next home game for the Oaks will be Wednesday, June 24th at 5:00pm.
