OAKS OPEN LEAGUE SERIES WITH WIN

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Conejo Oaks took game one of the three game weekend road series against league opponent, the San Luis Obispo Rattlers on a chilly Friday evening as they defeated the home team 4-2.

Left fielder Jacob Fiss started the second inning off with a double down the left field line. He later came around to score, putting the first run of the game on the board. By the top of the seventh the Rattlers were ahead 2-1 but a lead-off single by third baseman Chris LoPiccolo would bring the Oaks back in front. Catcher Matt Scioscia had the RBI of the inning when he singled to right center. The Oaks went on to score in the eighth and ninth innings to defeat the Rattlers.

The Oaks will continue the weekend series against the Rattlers when they play again tomorrow, Friday, June 19^th at 6:05pm. The next home game for the Oaks will be Wednesday, June 24^th at Sparky Anderson field. First pitch against the Santa Maria Pilots is at 5:00pm.
