OAKS TAKE LEAGUE WIN OVER PACKERS

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Conejo Oaks bats were alive on Saturday when they defeated the Santa Maria Valley Packers 7-5 at Sparky Anderson Field. The Oaks earned three runs in the third inning by singles from right fielder Kyle Jones and catcher Matt Scioscia. Later, a double from a Paul Hartmann gave the Oaks the lead.

By the ninth inning and Oaks ahead by five runs, the Packers three run inning was not enough. The Oaks will continue California Collegiate League play with the Packers in tomorrow's rubber game. First pitch on Sunday, June 14 is at 1:00pm. Sunday is also Youth Baseball Day. Any child wearing their team jersey will be invited to participate in fun activities throughout the game. Everyone is invited on the field at the conclusion of the game to meet the players for autographs.
