SEVEN IN THE SEVENTH EARN OAKS VICTORY

COMPTON, Calif. -- The seventh inning was a productive one for the Conejo Oaks (3-3, 3-3) as they took on the Urban Youth Academy Barons (1-2, 1-2) in the final game of the series in California Collegiate League play.

The game was off to a slow start with no runs and only one hit for Oaks starting pitcher Robbie Selden. The seventh inning was the highlight of the night for the Oaks who batted from the top of the lineup. The bases were loaded for right fielder Kenny Hatcher who drove one down the left field line for a three RBI double. The Barons were unable to answer back for the remainder of the game.

The Oaks return home to take on fellow CCL opponents, the Santa Maria Valley Packers. Game time is 5:00pm at Sparky Anderson Field.

Sunday, June 14th is Youth Baseball Day. Any child wearing their team jersey will get to participate in fun activities throughout the game.
